About us

Hi!

Hi, I'm Rūta, the founder of Curl Dealer and a certified curly hair stylist, dedicated to helping you love your curls

Here you'll find all of our favourite products: carefully handpicked and tested through our travels, curl hair courses, and years of hands-on experience at our salon.

Over the years, I have worked with every type of curl imaginable, and I’ve seen how differently the same product can behave depending on the hair. That’s why I’ve added our own notes and usage tips to each product - to help you understand if it's the right fit for your curls.

Still unsure? Feel free to reach out anytime at info@curldealer.com

This inspired me to get out of my straightening addiction, accept myself as I am, and learn to embrace my natural hair.

And how did I start my journey towards beautiful curls?

Like most curly people, I grew up in Lithuania not knowing what to do with my curly hair and, wanting to look neat and like everyone else, I started straightening it, which eventually turned into a serious addiction.

My eyes were opened only after I went to study in England. I saw many girls with all kinds of curls and I couldn't believe it – there are more curly girls than straight girls? Are there separate sections in stores with products for curly hair? Even separate salons for curly hair? Don't they offer to straighten my hair before cutting it? No one will refuse to cut my hair anymore because they don't know how?

This inspired me to get out of my straightening addiction, accept myself for who I am and learn to take care of my natural hair. At the same time, in Leeds, one of the most famous salons in the United Kingdom, The Curl Clinic, was offering its first course to become a curly hair specialist and I decided to take it, but only to learn how to manage my own curls. However, life took an unexpected turn and after The Curl Clinic offered me a job, a few months later I was running around with scissors, creating various curls.

In the evenings, while browsing various curly hair forums, my eyes kept falling for the Lithuanian curly hair Facebook group and the question that kept popping up, "where to get curly hair cut in Lithuania so they don't straighten it?!" And the sad answer was "nowhere", so I started making plans to return home and help all Lithuanian curly hair lovers fall in love with their hair. After 5 years of emigration, I returned to Lithuania and launched the Curly Clinic - a place where curly hair is cut in its curly state and styled with products specially designed for curls!
